For a great daytrip from Rochester, try visiting Letchworth State park. It's about an hour and a half south of Rochester, via I-390. It's near the town of Mount Morris. It's a breathtakingly beautiful park that features several large waterfalls spread amongst the 14,350 acres, where you will find 70 miles of beautiful hiking trails and endless beauty. This park is part of the Genesee Gorge, otherwise known as the "Grand Canyon of the East." The park has a multitude of RV camping and picnic areas, not to mention the well-maintained grounds. According to Norfolk Southern Railroad, the 136-year-old bridge is slated to be demolished, and replaced by a modern up-to-date arch bridge.
